The seven islands that comprise the Canaries are located just 71 miles from the north-west coast of Africa. As a result they remain warm all year round and are ideal for winter sun holidays due to there being little variation in temperature throughout the seasons. Each island – Tenerife, Lanzarote, Grand Canaria, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro – has its own unique characteristics, but with a combined 930 miles of coastline between them they boast excellent water sports facilities and a wide variety of beaches.
Being easily accessible from the UK, the Canary Islands remain one of the most popular destinations with 50% of visitors returning to them. They have plenty to offer for families, couples and groups of friends of all ages – find out more about the islands within the Canaries by clicking on the links below.
