Growing up in Manchester, all my family holidays as a child were to north Wales, a place I still love dearly and visit frequently. There’s nothing like eating a ‘99’ in the pouring rain – I won’t hear a word against it!
It was only entering my twenties that I really began to see the world. Now based in London, my career as a freelance travel writer has taken me right across the globe, from the beloved resort towns and capital cities of Europe, to tiny Pacific islands, the vast deserts of northern Africa and even to the Arctic.
I’ve been lucky enough to tick off over 60 countries, but my specialisms include the Caribbean, Canada and the US. For me, it’s the infinite variety, incredible wildlife and diverse culture each of these holiday hotspots offer that keeps pulling me back.
